LONG RIDE TO BICOL PARA SA LAHAT NG RIDERS and PILGRIMS

Thanks to all who joined me in the thread: http://www.motorcyclephilippines.com Rides & Touring: LONG RIDE to Bicol

I confirmed with my brother priests in Naga City that the GRAND EVENT of the 300 Yrs Celebration of Our Lady of Peñafrancia Devotion in Naga will be on SEPT 10, 2010.

I would like to inform all pilgrims and riders that our LONG RIDE TO BICOL will be on Sept 8-11, 2010.

Kindly take note the ff changeable program:

DAY 01 (Wednesday)

Sept 8 @ 4am - Dep from Magallanes (Starbucks) to Petron in the South Super Hi-way

@ 4:30am- Off to Lucena

@ 6:30am- Exp arrvl in Lucena (Gas Stn) 10 min rest

- Mtg with some bikers/pilgrims from Rizal, Cavite and Bats

@ 6:40am- Dep to Calauag for breakfast and gas up

@ 8:30am- Exp arrvl in Calauag

@ 9:30am- Off to Sipocot

@ 11:30am- Exp arrvl in Sipocot Petron Stn (10 min rest)

@ 11:40am- Dep to Naga City (Gas up)

@ 12:30pm- Exp arrvl in Naga lunch then lunch in SM

@ 1:30pm- Off to Villanueva's Residence for rest / Foster families

@ 3:30pm- Snacks/Basilica/Bishop's Palace/City ride/CWC & Church visits etc

@ 5:00pm- Back to our Shelter for the Birthday celebration

@ 6:00pm- Mass at home (if given permission) with elderly couple

@ 7:00pm- Dinner with the bday celebrator, family and relatives

@ 8:30pm- City night ride/Bar hopping

@ 10pm- Home/Rest for next ride

DAY 02 (Thursday)

Sept 9 @ 5am- Rise-up/Bath/Bfast

@ 5:30am- Dep to Cagsawa

@ 6:45am- Exp arrvl in Cagsawa Ruins/Photo sessions/

- Pinangat in Camalig/Daraga Albay (Gas up)

@ 7am- Off to Bulan Sorsogon

@ 8:45am- Exp arrvl in Donsol Sorsogon then snacks

- Pilar Sorsogon then off to Legazpi City

@10:30am- Exp Arrvl in Daraga Church (photo sessions)

- Liñon Hill, Embarcadero

@ 12nn- Gaisano Mall for lunch

@ 1:15pm- Off to Sto. Domingo Beach Resort for rest

@ 3pm- Dep to Mayon Rest House (R.H.)

@ 3:40pm- Exp arrvl in Mayon R.H. / Picture-taking/rest

@ 4:30pm- Off to Tabaco City Church

@ 5pm- Dep to Bacacay Albay (Among Ben's place)

- Settling in a resort/fun/party with minimal contribution

- Pitching tents

- Meeting/scheduling of future rides/evaluation/Settle resort rental/

Instructions

- Rest for the ride back to Naga City for the GRAND DAY EVENT of the

300 Years of Our Lady Peñafrancia Celebration

DAY 03 (Friday) GRAND DAY OF THE 300TH OLP CELEBRATION

Sept 10 @ 5am- Rise-up/Light Bfast/Bath

@ 6am- Off to Naga via Malilipot, Tabaco, Malinao, Tiwi

@ 6:45am- Exp arrvl in Joroan Church (Shrine of Our Lady of Salvation)

- Famous for pilgrims due to her continual intercessions

- Short visit and prayer

@ 7am - Off to Sangay then Pili

@ 8:30am- Exp arrvl in Naga then City Motorcade / Ocular ride going to the

Cathedral and Basilica *Final Instructions by Among Ben*

TO DO: ( Aside from what to pack and bring)

* All M/Vs will be kept safe at Villanueva's residence or in the Major

Major Seminary. TBS with the Rector c/o Among Ben

* We go by walking towards the Basilica as pilgrims to make a

sacrifice

* Official shirts will be worn and banners will be flown

* All must assemble in the seminary near the Basilica and with a

safe place to keep our MVs (Rosters and contacts will be

given to the seminary guard to safe guard our MVs and things)

* Water/Bush hat/face towel/strong shoes can be of help during the

grand day event

* Bring some first aid ointment and meds

* Bring your rosary (Among will provide the OL of Peñafrancia prayer)

* We shall of course join the processions in a prayerful manner

*After the grand event procession and Mass we shall meet near the

Daughters of Mary Convent just at the back of the Basilica. In case

some might get lost, ask some priests, nuns, and seminarians.

* At the end of the pilgrimage and all we shall meet again in the

Seminary where we can get our MVs.

@ 9:15am- Rest in our foster homes

@ 10am- Early lunch with our foster families

@ 10:45am- Assembly in the Major Seminary

*Bring only what is needed in the pilgrimage (Rosary, prayer guide

guide)

@ 11am- Off to the Basilica/Cathedral depending on the crowd and start of the

processions. (Instructions will be given)

- FREE JEEPNEY RIDE TO THE STARTING POINT of the PROCESSION

MAIN EVENT OF THE FEAST !

@ 7pm- Exp end of the event (Pilgrims under Among Ben:

- Meeting in the Daughters of Mary Convent just behind the Basilica)

- Dinner in the City

@ 8:30pm- BALIK SEMINARIO for our MVs

- FREE JEEPNEY RIDE TO THE SEMINARY after the PROCESSION

- If the road is clear we can go back to the City for documentations

and other pilgrimage/tour-related things

@ 10pm- We go back to our foster homes for bonding before leaving the

next day / Rest

DAY 04 (Sat)

Sept 11 @ 6am- Rise-up/Bfast

@ 8am- Pilgrim Mass in the Basilica with Father Ben (TBS with the Rector)

- Priests were informed and they will give slot for our group

@ 9am- Short meeting before leaving Naga. Blessing for everyone. Interactions

@ 9:30am- Snacks/Early lunch in LCC/Rest for the long journey to Manila

- Gratitude to foster families

@ 2pm- LONG RIDE from Naga to Manila

PILGRIMAGE DETAILED ACTIVITIES SEPT 10-14, 2010

LONG RIDE FROM MANILA-BICOLANDIA…. Organized by BikersONE Philippines

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES:

June 5, 2010 (Sat)---------------------------------- Eye Ball (EB) in Manila with Ms. Cel
All prospect riders have internet connection will login to: http://bikersonephilippines.org for ride updates
Need: COMMITTEES on Transpo, Finance/Sponsorship, Food and Accommodation, Invitation (Print, Radio, TV, Facebook etc), Documentation, Security etc…
Among Ben will provide designs for shirts and sweat shirts.
Monthly Advertisement has to be done from this date.

Questions:
*How many riders do we need?
*Is the ride for free or pay your ride?
*Is there a registration fee to start this event planning?
*How many convoys do we need?
*Do we have medics in the group?
*Do we have Law enforcers in the group to be the Marshals?
*What to pack/bring?
*How many are having backrides?
*What is the ride requirement? (400cc up or any req)
*Some others like hotel accommodation etc..

- Courtesy Call to the Archbishop with his Blessing
Short Visit to the Cathedral then Lunch Lunch can be taken in the City proper. I hope I can still arrange with my friends. (To be arranged)
@ 1:30 pm
- Rest at NATTIE VILLANUEVA FAMILY’s RESIDENCE IN HARING CANAMAN.

- Her Daughter in Kuwait is offering their house as
Our shelter for over night and with dinner only.
*Those who wanted to stay over night in a nearby hotels they can do so. (To be arranged)

@ 4 pm- Move to the City/Provincial Office for courtesy call
then to CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC) (TBA)
*Relaxation time
*Some can enjoy the Surfing and other amenities.
*Entrance fee is applied unless paid by an sponsor.

@ 7 pm- Dinner with Villanueva’s Family
@ 8 pm- Food and drinks in the City/ Magsaysay/ Mayon
Avenue. (Place to be settled and individual payment
Unless sponsored by SMB or finance comm. hehehe).
@ 10:30 pm- Barracks to rest
Note: Finance Comm will shoulder the Breakfast expenses the following day.

Day 2

@ 7 am- Off to the Basilica for the Holy Mass and
Thanksgiving. Rest in the Grounds of the Basilica.
Other Riders may join us here.

@ 730 am- Mass in the Basilica (to be arranged-TBA)

@ 8: 15 am- Breakfast in the Daughter of Mary
Sister’s Convent (TBA) / Gas up

@ 9:30 am- Motorcade in the City Proper. Invited
Bicol and other Riders may join even to other routes.

@ 10 am- Malling/Rest/Tambay

@ 10:30 am- Seminary Visit while going to Legazpi
Oldest Church visitation too.

@ 12 nn- Lunch in Bastian Polangui Albay

@ 1 pm- Move to Hoyop-Hoyopan Cave/
CAGSAWA RUINS

@ 7 am- Holy Mass in Pilar (or later in Legazpi)
@ 8 pm- Departure to Legazpi City
• Sipi Seminary (Picture taking)/Gas up
• Daraga Church
• City Tour with Sambalas and other Bikers
• Liñon Hill tour
• Embarcadero
@ 11:00 am- Coffee with Bikers (TBA with Councilor CELOY Chan)
@ 12:00 nn- Lunch in Pacific Mall (KKB/Finance/TBA with an sponsor)
@ 1:30 pm- Rest/Siesta in Liñon Hill or in Embarcadero or go directly to our foster home (Resort) in Sto. Domingo (20 km from Legazpi)
@ 5 pm- Bar hopping in Legazpi (KKB) or Rest for
The evening get-together (Other Riders are welcome)
@ 7 pm- Off to Bacacay Black Beach for rest/dinner/
bonding/swimming (overnight) *with contribution*

Sept 11, 2010- Mass with the pilgrim-riders at the Basilica
-Includes Rosary and devotion

Sept 11, 2010- Convoy/Pilgrims can go home or can still join the Bicol
Tour. (Sorsogon, Legazpi, Tiwi and others)
*Take note of the above schedule till return to Manila.
